Backup using Samsung Account error.

Used that but I also like a cloud based solution too it gives peace of mind if one fails there is always another option

Update from Samsung

We are aware of the issue with the Samsung Cloud and we're working on getting this sorted as quickly as possible. The fix for this is scheduled to launch from the 21st December. ^LH

It's weak for Samsung, one of the world's largest device makers, to say they're "having problems" with such a basic thing as cloud backup. It's a core component of the user experience, and I for one have just gotten used to trusting it implicitly. If I make a note on my phone, I believe I can get it back even if the phone died or is stolen - or blows up. It's just worked for years, and if I hadn't been trying to clear a bit of drive space I wouldn't even have known that I'm not backed up. Trust is vital.

I agree that it's something Samsung need to get a hold of fast. An earlier post suggested that a fix is being launched from the 21st December. Hopefully that'll fix it.

Things can sometimes go wrong which I'm sure many accept, but then it's ultimately down to how it's put right that then counts ,and instills confidence back into the product and service. Communication is Key.

I feel after the whole note 7 issue Samsung have become very weak on customer service issues which you would think they would really try and improve on but I guess they seem to be too big for there own boots now.

Seems like more people are now complaining about the cloud service not working and someone seems to have contacted the press about it

Response from Samsung

It should be up and running sometime today. Try tonight or in the morning! ^RR

I got a notification just now that an urgent software update needed to installed, it listed Samsung cloud fix, trouble was I couldn't accept as I was on my data, now I can't find the update again.

How can I not find this update again, it's not listed under system updates or galaxy apps or under Samsung cloud in application manager. I wish I hadn't clicked on decline now, sat here thinking am I cracking up.
