Hello guys, so I just rooted bamf remix 1.5 the other day and did NOT use the radio that it included because I figured let's just see if the stock radio is fine then I won't have to flash another one.

So, I noticed today I unplugged my phone at 6:00 A.M. and at 10:00 A.M it was 75% not doing anything sent about 20 text and took like 3-4 pictures.

I restarted my phone since I figured it was a rogue app, turns out when I restart it goes away, but returns the next day.

System Panel dosen't show anything strange, neither Partial Wake Usage on Spare Parts.

Current Widget shows my MAH usage spiking from 50-1150 MAH, at times.

Thanks guys.

New radio or try Perfect storm with new radio. I've gotten those mystery drains on every rom including stock though....

Alright, I'll try the new radio, which 2 cache's do I clear I always forget? Davlik and another one?

Since 4g lte is a big battery hog could a new radio possibly be better battery life? If it dosen't work how do I uninstall it?

Dalvik and the cache that is on the first page in recovery. You don't need to wipe it for the radio since the radio is done in Hboot anyways. The new radio doesn't address the 4G battery hogging but more so transitions and a few others. You can go back to the old radio by simply flashing it in hboot.

i put the .zip in my sd then go to hboot? what do I do there? Oh and today it's 11:16 a.m unplugged at 9:00 A.M. 1 text, 73% battery atm

The PG05IMG.zip for the radio? Make sure it's on the root of your sdcard and not any folders. Hold the power button, choose restart and then bootloader. That'll put you in hboot and it should recognize the file and ask if you want to flash.

And make sure to delete it off your card once done flashing.

FWIW I've found 1.6 to be more stable on the random battery drains.

If i go with remix 1.6, will i loose framework? Like the custom battery and messaging app skins?

By remove and replace you mean remove the 400mb and just leave the small one there right? And that is done with SuperManager inside the phone?

edit: yeah seeing people over at the xda 1.6 thread that the battery life is great, is that with the radio included or what

Yeah Bamf 1.6 remix or NTE is very nice. I'm running it with the newest kernel 4.4.5 and the battery life is pretty good.

okay, I guess i'll flash it then, do I loose the custom remix messg app skins and the battery skin?

In adddition to that, I have another question, can I just install the rom through rom manager and not go to clockwork? Since I already know the manual process?

And can someone give me a link to the radio that's supposed to be used with 1.6 cause I'm not sure which one it is, since it's not there only the 1.5 one.. maybe that's the one?

Other than that, I'll be ready to flash 1.6.

I'm in the same boat, my battery sucks no matter what I try. I've wiped, rebooted, re-flashed the rom, switched out the kernel, calibrated battery, & I still have to charge my phone at least twice per day, HELP!!!!!!

I barely use the phone during the day aside from a few texts here & there, but this is really getting frustrating. When I first got the phone I just thought it was my lack of android knowledge since I was coming from a Blackberry. So I patiently looked through the forum for tips on battery life, tried everything & still no luck. Decided to root the phone, same result, I'm thinking I have a bad battery or something cuz I've done just about anything & everything there is to diagnose the problem & keep coming up empty

I HAD bad battery life, and I calibrated and I was doing good avg 12 hours with moderate-heavy use. But then I rooted it and it looks like it lost the stats.

I am going to do bamf remix 1.6, just need those above questions answered before I go

I'm running the 1.6 patched remix, not sure about the radio you're looking for but it has a new kernel built in. I haven't been able to swap out kernels like I was doing for the 1.6 remix before the patch though
