I've been using my s7 for a while now on sprint and I can not get the good battery life that everyone is talking about. Mine sucks. Have to recharger before the day is close to being over. I barely use my device. Any help?

There 3 ways to save power on your S7:

1. Activate Power Savings mode from your quick toggles.

2. Go to Settings - Battery - App Power Savings(Details) - Turn it on

Note- Some apps might not go into power saving mode, So select the app and choose "Always save power"

3. Install clean master. Under Tools - Battery saver: It will be hibernate all the Power/Resources hungry apps.

Note- The Snapdragon variant of S7 is less power efficient than Exynos because of Adreno GPU .

For the first few weeks of using my S7 I was averaging around 12 hours before my battery was completely dead, which meant it was pretty much out of juice by the time I finished work. Someone recommended I try a factory reset, which I reluctantly did and to be honest wasn’t expecting it to make a difference at all. The battery now lasts completely through the day and typically I put it on the charger at bedtime with around 20% left. Same usage as before, exactly the same App’s.

Not sure what difference the factory reset made, but it’s pretty much doubled my battery life. I perhaps wonder whether I’d copied something bad across from my S6 using the Smart Switch app, as typically I used to get pretty poor battery life on my S6 also, and maybe the complete wipe cleared that issue, but just guessing really.

You definitely have a rogue program or two, eating up your battery life. May i suggest factory resetting the phone, installing only the apps you need daily and then slowly adding everything back else. You will definitely notice what's causing issues.

I just received an update and it says it optimizes battery life. So far it seems a lot better but it's too soon to tell.
