Bad battey life after root

Hey guys I rooted my bolt last night and picked up an extended battery. The battery charged to 100% and it is at 26% after only 6 hours. It was showing 56% just a minute ago, but i rebooted my phone, and it FELL to 26% instAntly. I'm thinking about unrooting, this is crazy. My firmware is the .6 firmware Nd my kernel is the Feb 19 kernel. What am I doing wrong

Don't know what your doing wrong but something sure isn't right. I rooted my on Wednesday and I'm getting great battery life. I have the extended battery and it was like the energizer bunny, it just kept going and going and going.

I suspect some rogue app or process is running in the background and probably updating constantly, but that's just a guess. I have the standard battery in my phone now and I'm getting an easy day and a half on light use.

Give your battery a couple of power cycles before it 100% . Mine did the same thing the first day it will get better it has nothing to do with you being rooted unless your settings have changed. Check your sync settings for your apps on how often they pull data that could cause poor battery life.

Thanks for your responses! I also an using bloat freezer to take care of bloatware. Also have setcpu to undertook when screen is off. Mclarry I was thinking the same thing that the phone needs to get used to the extended battery and after a couple cycles it will hopefully be fine, I also have poor service at my school , I see the phone jump from 4G to 3g alot. So that could be a contributing factor aswell
