Hello everyone,

I have had this issue since receiving my phone on Thursday, and I'm the Sprint Network.
When I'm at home and connected to LTE on my note 4
~I only have 1 bar of signal strength.
~The DBM is around -110 -120 (not an expert but from my searches this is pretty bad.)
~The SprintZone app say the voice signal is bad
~If I call someone it goes to 5 bars, then drops back down when the call is over.
~Some call may not be getting through to me

Oddly the internet speed seems to be ok, or I am just not bothered by that.
I'm in a LTE area.

If I switch to CDMA only it shoots up to 5 bars.
I believe I have LTE on my s3 and I get 5 bars at home, no issues at all.

Has anyone else experience this issue?
Is there any solution?

Thanks for any help.

My phone is doing the same thing, but when i do a speed test it has lte speeds of 8 to 20 gb.

Same issue here. I'm two blocks from the nearest cell site and had full bars on my S3. It doesn't appear to impact performance, but it does make me wonder.

The Sprint link above does not work for me.

This will be fixed through a software update. I would call and let them know.

I hope so. Yesterday I spent a hour chatting with a sprint rep. Nothing to seemed to work, and he assured me that he was reloading the tower and I would 5 bars within a few hours..

Needless to say that never happened.

Reloading the tower? That doesn't even sound right. A chat rep wouldn't be able to mess with the tower.

Y'all should see what the iPhone ppl get on Sprint that's why I left

I figured that,
But that is what I was told. So he told me restart my phone, type in a few commands mess with the roaming settings....

/sigh

So why don't you just leave it on cdma only then?

Why would I want to use CDMA a slower internet speed, if LTE is suppose to be working?

Anyway....

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sprint is supposedly working on a local tower and it will be upgraded next week:/, though this seems to be the go to response for things network related.

I installed "Network Signal Info"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.android.telnet
and let it show the signal and the true signal is there.
I don't know why Sprint is only showing one bar but in reality it is probably better.
The reason it is going to 5 bars when you talk is it then is showing the voice network signal not the data. Apparently voice shows accurate bars.
I feel assured Sprint will fix it in a later release but just download the app and watch it, you will be convinced that it is working OK just not reporting correctly.
Good Luck!
Ron

I used the signal checker and got the same low signal readings as what the phone is reporting in the settings.
