Bad wifi after update

I recently updated my huawei p7 to lollipop but now not so far away from the modem where I used to have wifi, I can't connect anymore (I can connect to it closer but the range dropped or something like that), I have all the bars and the connection itself says it's excellent.

Can I turn something off/on to help me get the range back?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen with any wi-fi network, or only at home? If it's only at home, try rebooting the router (by unplugging its power for 10 seconds, then plugging back in again).
