Quick history - Received G3 July 17th; launch day. Immediately I noticed I was doubling my typical data usage. Well the GPS was constantly searching, and there was no fix.

Here's where it gets friggin' strange.

Both my original G3 and current G3 have horrible connections... but ONLY when I speak with the phone to my right ear. Full signal, but during the first 10 minutes of the call does the phone reduce my voice (I speak loudly). Or I echo, or I can sound choppy as well.

I avoid using my right ear. If I use my left ear, the communication is flawless. After doing independent research, I found no data or bulletin that mentions this. I like to think I'm at least somewhat bright (I design new age military aircraft and optimize its physics). And I have absolutely no idea why this is happening. No steel plate in my head. Other tiered Verizon tech support made assenine assumptions, so we conferenced in a rep from LG who was clueless from the start.

My issue makes no friggin' sense. What is the probability of two phones doing the same thing? Highly improbable. 44 phones featured in the article titled, " Best phone of 2014 is the G3, according to this comprehensive article.

I don't expect it, but can anyone rationalize this anomaly?

Now that's one I haven't heard before. Maybe it has to do with the hand you're holding it with. Do you have some big honkin' ring on the right hand? Or do you wear a watch on your right wrist that utilizes any RF (like a smartwatch, a GPS watch, or a fitness band)?

Maybe the sensor that the phone's angle, gyro or whatever? Or maybe the setting that senses if you have the phone by your face? I think I remember reading that someone had some type of sensor problem when the phone first came out.

T-Mobile G3

Do you grab the phone in a different way on depending the hand you use? These are the G3 antennas. Try to imagine your right hand covering the blue one.

idon 12no, nicely done. After a 90 minute tech support call to Verizon and LG, the collective thought is the gyro.

xocomaox, to the best of my knowledge, I haven't yet had brain surgery. I was a big drinker in high school so maybe they snuck one in while I was relying on walls to keep me standing.

To everyone else, hand position, jewelry, and the gambit of the probable culprits were eliminated.

Can you have another person test the phone to verify the problem? Are you f*ing with us? I think that is most likely.

Not sure about the gyro. I think I found the problem. Left ear - good / right ear - not so good.
