Baked Snack 1.8 & where to find

Can I flash 1.8 over 1.7? Or do I have to do a wipe?

Says to wipe but may not have to on Baked site forum. I would just do a complete wipe just to be safe.

It is just based off the latest OTA build.

is there a good place to get some tips and pointers on BakedGoods? it's new to me and not quite sure what to look for as far as pre-installed tools and settings.

I had 1.7 and I flashed 1.8 without any issues... my suggestion though is after you do the flash you install a CPU monitor app and a set CPU app so you can under or over clock as you like. I say this because the first time I wiped and cleaned installed 1.8 my phone seemed to operate slower that it did with 1.7... I believed this had to do with the design of 1.8 under clocking the CPU to achieve more battery life. The second time I installed 1.8 I just flashed over 1.7 and set my CPU range from 450Mhz when the screen is of , 800Mhz when the screen is on....I obtained the ROM from xda developers but now its been removed. Good thing I saved it.

So you didn't do a full wipe? Did you lose any of your apps?

I like it but

I tried the #5 kernel as well, and so far it seems battery life is better.


The only thing I miss and this goes for other ROMs ( not AC or DC) is the phone bar.

Stock phone bar has the little line indicator of the screen you are on, which I like alot.

Is there a way to get this on baked ?
