Baked Snack Froyo EB13/EC05 "More Undisputed ;)"

Are you guys that are running 1.2low, are you running SetCPU on 128 high/200 low, or 100 high /200 low. Any difference in batt life or is it meant to set at 128 high?

Found:
HERO_OVER:
Well 100mhz and 200mhz run at the same voltage therefore drawing equal power. I don't ever set to 100mhz just because there's no point and it makes the governor scale through more freqs making it technically slower. 200-1000mhz is best for battery but 200-1200mhz is not far off.

Would it be against site rules to ask for a copy of BS2.2? Honestly I'm willing to "donate" for it, but I don't know how active Hero is or if he plans to continue developing this ROM for the Epic.

EDIT: I decided to make a donation. Baked Snack is the best ROM I've used, and Hero definitely deserves the support if it means that we will have more of his excellent work in the future.

Go to Hero's website, follow the instructions and you should have access to 2.2 in less than 24 hours.

He has been around a while and just got around to doing Froyo so I'm guessing he'll be around... honestly, it's only $5 so I wouldn't get too stressed about it... it's worth it just for access to his kernels... and yes, it wouldn't be right to post his stuff here until he's made it open to the public... he only keeps back the latest generation for his forum members, and only for a period of time... you could get BS 2.1 right now and the linpack kernel right off his site (bakedsnackshack.com)... 2.1 is in my opinion more stable than 2.2 right now... I'm personally waiting for 2.3 and on Bonsai in the meantime...

when i get a vmail, i also get a text:

9016: //ANDROID:xxx-xxx-xxxx has sent you a Sprint Voice Message. Call 408-970-0000. MMSN, 12cdca417, 17a6, V69/AtCJPg3//CM

how do i get rid of that?

I've heard that you can use a blacklist app from the market, and put 9016 on the list to not receive texts from that number. I've never tried it myself tho.

thats one of the annoyance of using any other mms.apk besides the stock one or modified stock mms

2.2 google search issue

ever since flashing from BS 2.1 to 2.2, i can't use google search. i get a pop-up asking to use location to improve results, but whether i click agree or disagree, it just keeps popping up. i also can't use any voice recognition features because i keep getting the same message.

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas of what I can do to fix it? I've already uninstalled and re-installed Google Search.

2.3 is up.

Kernel is EC05, Rom is EB13 with EC05 modem.
* Im getting bootloops coming from syndicate, Ive wiped data, cache, and delvik x3. Im guessing I have to flash 2.1>2.2>2.3 as they are meant to be flashed on top of each other.
**^Yup you have to flash 2.1, then 2.2, then 2.3.

i'm on BS2.1
gmail has stopped working for some reason

whenever i would reply to an email, it would just say "sending" and never send...i would have this problem at times with other ROMs, and the email would never send, but i'd be able to send another one...with this, nothing goes out...i'll have 5 different replies with it saying "sending"

any ideas?

2.3 Process?

I was running 1.2low, and now just flashed 2.3no wipe. Will I stay on the pre-existing kernel? Or do I reselect and flash a new kernel, or is the goods already in 2.3?

Learning... Thanks!!!

This is from Hero forum: "I accidentally forgot to swap the code :(

Don't overclock with the 1.2low just yet. Ill have an update tomorrow. "

You need to flash one of the kernels that are written to /sdcard/a1bakedsauce after you flash the ROM. If not your prior kernel remains.

I'm currently trying out the 2.3 kernel on Syndicate. Runs very smooth, and will hopefully also stop lock ups that the Twilight kernel is causing.

Ahhh.. So after reading back I now understand that the kernels are all updated as well as the ROM. So I will need to flash the kernel I'd like to use. However, I should probably just wait until the updates comes out tomorrow Right? Thanks for the help!!!

Depends. The update is only to allow overclocking to 1.2GHz instead of 1.28GHz. If you plan on running at 1GHz or 1.28GHz then you can flash now.

when this has happened to me, I have fixed it by clearing data in the Gmail app..... this will erase everything in the app, and resynch all your emails with the Gogle server... after doing that, it usually works fine again. before doing that tho, have you made sure your Gmail synching didn't get switched off somehow?

Anytime I flash SFR and then any Baked Snack kernel I lose root. Not sure what i'm doing wrong here. I wipe everything, flash SFR 1.1.0, reboot. After confirming root I go back to CWM and flash the "1.28low.zip" kernel using the "choose zip from sd card". Kernel installs, reboot, and then when I attempt to run setcpu it says I no longer have root. This is so frustrating. I've also tried simply extracting the zimage file from the kernel and putting it in with SFR but that gives me trouble as well... What am I doing wrong?
