Baked Snack Froyo EB13/EC05 "More Undisputed ;)"

The Rom runs fine until i reboot the 2nd time. so weird. i flashed a few times, wiped everything but each time, i would get FC on the second boot. also, ESfile explorer ask for permission, but it says im not my system isn't able too. and before someone asks, yes after second boot, on every single flash. anyone have any Similar experience?
-Details of last try. if i left my phone on all night, and it was fine. i turned it off, charged, turn it back on. worked fine. then i decided to reboot around 3/4 later to see if problem was still there, and it was.

Sounds like a bad flash possibly or something you may have flashed afterwards?

CIQ removal is very sensitive. Before you flash, wipe 3x each spot.

Wipe Data/Factory Reset 3x
Cache Partition 3x
Advanced>Wipe Dalvik Cache 3x

Don't cheat it, CIQ is picky...

If you flash any themes

Cache Partition 3x
Advanced>Wipe Dalvik Cache 3x

Again don't cheat, do the full 3x on the ones I listed.

The cache partition is the picky one, that will cause boot loops and FC's if not done.

Otherwise watch what you flash. Again the CIQ removal is very picky to what you flash.. If its not CIQ friendly stuff then you will run into troubles.

So far I am absolutely pleased with Baked Snack 2.1 overall. No FC's, everything I have tried has worked and using Honeycomb Fusion 1.1, theme just makes everything completely awesome. Here's a screenie of my my battery life just for anyone who is wondering..

Running Baked Snack 2.1 w/ Baked Snack 1.2 Low - Kernel

Light to medium internet browsing, 5-10 mins on Sprint Navigator, couple dozen texts and a few screenie uploads via text, couple short calls and a lot of playing around setting up the phone and a few flashes.. I would say thats awesome! Still had 30 percent on the battery to go... ;)

Flashed Baked Snack 2.1 but there is no "A1BakedSauce" that has the optional Kernels in my SD Card.

There a separate link where I can download it?

That is in BS 2.2. You can either go to Hero's website (see first post) or wait a few days for a public release.

So... I used ODIN to put stock 2.2 (EB13) back on to my phone. Then I used the One Click Root for ClockWorkMod 3 (EXT4), then I flashed this rom and of course I got the dual boot (Sprint & Android). So I flashed again. Let it boot, it was all good. I wiped Cache 3 times, then I wiped the Dalvik Cache 3 times also. Then I went to go flash the menu fix. Turned my phone back on and it was stuck on boot logo. I've done this a few times and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I even went as far as wiping everything 3 times, flashing the rom, the wiping the two others 3 times, then flashing the menu fix and nothing. Help please? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Running Baked Snack 2.1 w/ Baked Snack 1.2 Low - Kernel

Paul...I just wanted to make sure I understand. It is OK to run the kernels from Baked Snack 2.2 with v2.1? I am running 2.2 but there are some theme issues even with Honeycomb Fusion 1.1 flashed on top.

Yes Ed the kernels are fine that is what I am running. What problems are you having with Honeycomb Fusion 1.1 theme?

Okay after you rebooted back into CWM 3.0.0.6 and it completed the EXT4 conversion (the backup and restore part when entering CWM for the first time) you should of wiped everything 3x before flashing. That would of gotten rid of the double boot animation and probably given you a successful flash. Then when you flashed the Menu fix you needed to wipe just the cache and dalvik cache 3x.

Basically, go back into CWM and wipe everything 3x, flash the ROM let it boot up and shut down. Go back into CWM and wipe cache/dalvik 3x (not factory wipe/reset) and flash the menu fix (same goes if you flash a theme). Then boot up and you should be problem free.

I'm running 2.2 with the 1.2 low volt kernal. Last night I odined the EC05 modem from midnight roms site. Everything works well together and the new modem seems to be much faster. My phone is finally running like it should have out of the box!

Good glad to hear it!

Yes Ed the kernels are fine that is what I am running. What problems are you having with Honeycomb Fusion 1.1 theme?

The problem is actually with Baked Snack 2.2 not Honeycomb Fusion 1.1.

The Gmail app in Baked Snack 2.2 is white text on a black background. When I am using the Gmail app to send a new message, as soon as I start typing a contact name the drop down box is all black with dark gray text that I cannot read to select a recipient.

I thought flashing honeycomb fusion 1.1 over it would fix the problem but no luck. I may go back to Baked Snack 2.1 until there is a fix.

Ahh okay, the contact drop down box that is a problem from the theme. Both the one that Hero used that is built into the ROM and HC Fusion 1.1

amosher13 who did the HC Fusion 1.1 has already posted that will be fixed in v1.2 of HC Fusion

OK thanks. I'll sit tight for a while and see if an update comes soon. Otherwise, Baked Snack 2.2 is awesome!

I really enjoy the ROM and have the Honeycomb Fusion theme. My wife really likes the red Honeycomb clock. Can I put this on her EVO? If so, what and where is the apk? In the ROM or theme? Thanks for the hard work!

DeskClockGoogle.apk (This is the version I have)

I can't confirm if it will work for the EVO but its worth a shot. Place it in her /system/app folder.

Otherwise if that is not the correct version the same file can be pulled from the Baked Snack 2.2 no wipe version. Look in the /system/app folder with WinRAR or 7Zip and pull it from there. DeskClockGoogle.apk

sorry if this has come up, but is it me, or has that text notification bug for vmails come back? I am on BS 2.2 and am getting text notifications for vmails...

Yes I believe the version of voice mail he is using doesn't have the text log removal incorporated in it.

I am trying to google the apk or fix, and can't find it easily... you don't happen to have it do you? It's really annoying... hopefully this will be addressed going forward because it's a really annoying bug...
