BAMF Forever 1.10 FINAL is out

I forgot to wipe data - but wiped system. Hmmm... did I do a bad thing? So far, it is behaving. Guess just used to other installs wiping everything.

Definitely took some time to get up and running properly. I was thinking of going right back to .9 after a couple of hours, but it seems okay now. I also had an odd issue throughout the day that I am not sure if it was related this or not, but I could not access the web using any of the three browsers on my phone for about 4 hours. I was able to use any other program with data (Android Market, Amazon App, etc.), not sure what the issue was, I tried everything I could come up with, toggled 3G to 4G, rebooted twice, and cleared the cache, all with no luck, but now it is working okay, but I don't know what changed. I will keep an eye on that, but pretty happy so far.

Will this Rom install the latest radios or is that a separate thing?

Installed everything seems ok. Also wanted to know do I need to install different radio? Just came from bamf 109.Did full wipe before I installed 110. Also what is a Radio? Why would I need to install a different one? My downloads from my speed test in 4G have been cut in half since 109. Went from like 22 down to 8 or 9 Mbs. Any help would be grateful.

Coming from Forever 1.0.9 to 1.10 should not require a Radio change... to figure out what radio is loaded on your device you can go into Settings > About phone... then look around for "Baseband version"... check that again the "Latest Radio's" link in my signature below... personally I've been running the radio's from the 2.11.605.3 RUU, which have been working great for a while.

If you are running really slowly it might just be you ROM settling in... give it some time to settle down... if you are not running the latest radio you might want to install the newer LTE and CDMA radio.

ROM running ok now. It was extremely slow the first few hours, mostly because I think Google was restoring all my apps and stuff. Running smooth now.

so how are you all overclocking this sucker? what are your max/min cpu settings? I am getting wonky results with the kernal.

Nm. Reflashed after deleting bamf setting and all is well. Also made sure to not install setcpu as something similar is already built into bamf settings.

So I rooted last night and flashed this rom (my first custom rom), I see some others talking about some lag. I also had pretty severe lag, but it is somewhat better today. I am running juice defender like I always have. Does anyone else use this on these roms? or is it not neccessary. It seemed to help me on stock significantly.

Also, what tweaks do you do to help it, if any? I am brand new at this. Did you overclock? Should I do that. I think I will leave the kernel as is for now.

How do you change the icons on the lock screen?

Sorry for all the question, Thanks, Daniel

^ The lag is normal from the first boot. You have to give it time to settle a bit.

Juice defender works well for some, but I use the app 2X battery. You should be calibrating your battery as well when switching to a new rom or kernel.

My settings on this kernel is 368 minimum, and 1.4 max with the ondemand governor setting. No lag whatsoever. (Keep in mind that overclocking will not help with battery life). Everyone's phone seems to act a little differently so YMMV. Or you can try Imoseyon's kernel and play with some settings on that one to see what works best for you.

The lockscreen icons can be changed in the personalize menu, under lockscreen- then your current settings

In the last 2 weeks I have ran BAMF Forever 1.09, Gingeritis 3D 1.0.7, Infected Eternity, BAMF Cubed 1.0.9 and now I am back to Forever 1.10.....I will be sticking with this one for awhile....or until I get bored!....LOLOL

The only thing I ran into, is that it kicked me into "SAFE Mode" (displayed on the bottom of the screen). I had to restart a couple of times.....more than likely, I was being impatient. It is all good!
