Bandwidth consumption

With the 5GB monthly limit for downloading (or is it for both downloading and uploading?) for the "unlimited web and email" data plan I was wondering if anybody had any information about data bandwidth consumption with regular web browsing, youtube watching or radio playing.

Are there apps that monitor monthly bandwidth usage?

I estimate that I would listen to 30-40 hours of radio per month...

there is no strictly enforced limit with the data plans, the hard 5GB cap only applies to tethered and mobile broadband plans.

as for keeping track of your consumption, you can download the my verizon app from the market and it will tell you how much data you've used.

It's amazing how much traction this rumor has gotten. As long as you are using your phone to surf the web, download apps, listen to music, etc., and are not tethering, data is unlimited.

this is probably the first product I have purchased that keeps getting better AFTER the purchase. :D

Thanks for the info.

If banks competed as well as mobile gadget developers...
