Banned From Forums Message Error 11/11/2011

At approximately 7:45PM PDT 11/11/2011 we experienced an issue where some accounts were mistakenly flagged as being banned. As shown in the screenshot below, the ban reason says "No reason was specified"

These bans were not a result of any moderator nor Administrator action. Rather, it was a glitch in our system. Legitimate bans will always specify a reason. This problem was resolved quickly, but I'm sure those affected were surprised by this message.

This is the second occurrence of this in the past month. However, I believe I identified the root cause this time.

Apparently I was banned for switching from one topic to another in the Galaxy Nexus forum.

Thanks for the temporary ban, honestly I needed the break from the site.

Wow. Freaked me out there for a bit. Then I saw that the server was down for maintenance and i felt a whole lot better!

I guess we can tell by the "Thanked" list those members who were affected. I must admit it surprised me when the I logged in and got that message.
