Basics of Google Voice

Spent some time looking for this info with no luck.

I am using Android ver 2.3.4 on T Mobile (in US) and can't sort out how to easily use
Google Voice to place calls.

Have a current account with $50 credit. When I open the app it defaults to my inbox
but I don't see how to get to the dialpad to place calls.

It almost seems like it is set up for SMS and not calling.



I am sure this is simple but can anyone comment here?

You have to go into setting once in google voice. Easiest way is the use the widget setting for googlevoice to toggle the different setting .Once you set what you want to do(ask for every call, every call etc.), you just use the regular dialer and you get get a choice depending on what setting you are using.

Yes in settings, under "Making calls" chose your options.
You use the phone's default dialer to make calls.
