Hi,
I just ordered the Moto G4 Plus and understand that the only charger they will supply is the Turbo Charger. I don't want to use the Turbo Charger because doing quick charges shortens the lifespan of the battery much faster than slowly charging. I know that I need to have a compatible charger and good cable. Does anyone know which chargers/voltage is most compatible with the 3000mah Li-ion battery in the Moto G4 Plus??? I hate that I have to buy a charger on my own not knowing anything about the science of batteries...Can anyone help me out on this?

Thanks!

Have you checked to see if fast charging can be disabled on the phone?

Nope, I'm expecting the delivery on Friday but I will look for it in the settings when it arrives. Thanks for the tip!

Does anyone know the battery specs for the regular Moto charger and battery as well as the TurboCharger? And if Turbocharge can be disabled on the Moto G4 Plus??

Alright, the Moto rep gave me the specs......

For the TurboCharger: Input = 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
Output = TurboPower: 9V / 1.67A (15W) and TurboPower: 12V / 1.2A (15W)

Input is the same for both chargers and the standard output is 5V/1.67A (8W)

And TurboCharging cannot be disabled on the phone per Moto rep.

Yes, I did some reading and apparently Turbo charge kicks on and off depending on the level of charge the phone has. The Note 5 was like this when it was released... where you couldn't disable fast charging... but I think they updated that to where you can turn it off now (can't remember for sure though).

the standard Motorola charger works fine, I use the one that came with my moto g³ when I'm at work and use the turbo charger at home. Standard chargers take longer of course.

I wouldn't worry much about turbo charging depleting your battery capacity too much. Unless you plan on using the phone still two years from now. But if you're like everyone else and get a phone every 12 to 18 months, I wouldn't worry about it.
