I am using htc desire 10 pro.It consists of 3000 mah .I will not play any games on this device but the battery is falling down very quickly.Anyone know how to save the power. It is the orginal and new phone i had bought it last week(only 7 days)

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the HTC 10 forum to the More HTC Phones forum, since the Desire 10 Pro is not the same as the HTC 10.

It would help to see some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

Can you show the other screenshots that I suggested? That's just the GSam summary.

Are you spending all 5 hours playing games? If so, then the battery life sounds pretty average to me. 4 hours 20 minutes of screen time is pretty good if you're playing a game constantly.

Today i cahrged the device 100% two times. This is the second cycle screenshots.Remaining 30% charge

But your overall screen-on time is still projected to be about 5 hours. That's about average for most smartphones these days. The screen is usually the top battery drain.

If the phone is idle (i.e., you're not turning the screen on), does the battery last longer? Or does it still drain quickly, even when the screen is off?

You can't do much to decrease battery usage from the screen -- it takes power to light up all of those pixels. You could always decrease the brightness, but that might impact your overall enjoyment of the phone.

Phones normally get warm with prolonged or intensive usage. How hot is it getting?

Poor cell signal is another cause of the phone getting warm.

The battery is draining very high when the screen is off.Internet is also off.But it had taken 18% of battery. What is this issue?

It's hard to tell just by looking at that screenshot. If you posted screenshots of the menus I suggested in my initial response, it might be more revealing.

it had taken 18 % of battery on standby(when the screen is off)
