Battery charger question for use with Droid X2?

My new Droid X2 shipped with a 110v wall charger that has a rated Output of: 5.1 volts at 850 Ma.

I have several chargers from my previous phone (BB Bold 9650) that are rated at 5.0 volts at 700 Ma.

Is it safe to use these as well, with the understanding that charge times might be somewhat longer - but still OK to use?

Thanks!

I'd avoid it. These phones are very sesitive and sometimes don't even like generic chargers of the right voltage.

Thanks guys - appreciate it. I never thought the OEM stuff would be so reasonable in price; will surf on over to Amazon and order some chargers and maybe a dock or two... thanks again!

It's because all this stuff has been subsidized by Droid X owners and we get to reap the benefits. :D

Also, these are "new" batteries for a sick price. Five bucks for a stock and 16 for extended.

Amazon.com: This Battery is 1500 mAh.: Electronics

Amazon.com: Motorola OEM Droid X / MB810 Extended Battery BH6X: Cell Phones & Accessories

I bought four of the stock batteries (two X2s in the household) and they work great. Maybe they aren't quite new, but, they have close enough to my stock batteries charge that I don't care. I mean, c'mon, five bucks for a battery. I keep them in different bags that I have for different needs that way I always have them when I need them. They'll hold their charge for a year, so, you just have to remember to top em of like every six months or so if you never use them.

And here is a cheap case. Technically for the Droid X so it has a hole for the camera in it, but, for five bucks, whatever. Definitely not the best case, you can easily blow through one in three months if you drop your phone a lot, but, again, for five bucks, whatever. I wasn't willing to drop 20 or 30 or whatever people pay for cases.

That's is the extent of my knowledge of cheap X2 accessories. The only other thing I don't have that I'm considering getting is the car dock, if I can get it for a good price. :D
