Battery Critically Low Notification

I'm looking for a way to stop these annoying "Battery Critically Low" notifications. They pop up over whatever I'm doing at the moment at 15% and then 5%.

I'm still on lollipop (by choice). I can root and disable a service or delete/edit system files if you tell me which ones but I can't seem to find which one is responsible for the popup. If you have any idea it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. I am honestly not sure what files to alter, but before you do, I would use a custom recovery to back up the entire ROM before messing around with root system files.
