Reports of battery capacity are most useful with a detailed breakdown of %BC/h (% battery capacity per hour) for display, calls, and standby. %BC/h can be calculated from the information at Settings|AboutPhone|Status and Settings|AboutPhone|Battery use.
For example, my Battery Level is 20% (so 80% has been used) and Display has used 59% (of the 80%, so that's 47.2% of the BC) and display's Time On is 1:16:47, so display BC/h is about 37%. (My display brightness is set manually to 19%, much lower than the Auto level even indoors.)
* display BC/h: 37% (manual 19% brightness)
* voice calls BC/h: 31%
* standby BC/h: 0.5% (no Wifi, Bluetooth, or GPS)
So that comes to less than 3 hours of display time, OR slightly more than 3 hours of talk time, OR about 200 hours of standby time. That's much less than the Infuse 4G specs (up to 8 hours talk, 400 hours standby).
The battery has gone through four cycles of being fully charged, then run until fully discharged. Does it sound as if the battery is defective?
