Battery Drain in 11 hours after using Dr Fone

Hi there, after using Dr Fone software to try and recover some deleted videos on my phone, I know have a phone that can drain the battery in about 11 hours. Before the battery may drop down to 70% but now it's useless.

Any idea if any settings have been changed as they root the phone and return it back to stock after they have finished......I've checked the developer settings and nothing seems out of the ordinary there, so I'm stuck.

Thanks in advance

Did they actually recover any deleted videos? If so, do they all play normally? If one of those recovered files is corrupt, the phone's Media Scanner might be stuck scanning that file, which can increase CPU and battery usage.

They recovered the folder but they then wanted me to pay (obvious to me now) which I didn't as i didn't want to pay $45. But something isn't right as I never had a problem with the phones battery before. How can I check ? All the info for battery and ram usage seems ok ?
Thanks for you reply

As I mentioned previously, if one of the recovered files is still present but corrupt, your battery might be draining because of the Media Scanner getting stuck on that file.

It might help to see some battery stats. Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.

OK will do, thanks !

I'm not sure if this helps?

Also I have to press the home button between 2-4 times to open the phone, something dodgy going on for sure
thanks in advance

It would still be helpful to tap the Cell Standby and Screen listings, to see how much Time Without Signal and how much Screen On Time there was for that charge.

Also, was Dr. Fone installed on the phone itself, or was it something you installed on your PC and then connected the phone to it? Do these issues also happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-29226

Great! Let us know if the problem comes back (and if clearing the cache works again).

The picture above was taken 1 hour ago. Phone has been up and running for 11.5 hours, so we're back to normal. Clearing the cache worked perfectly to stop whatever was still running in the background from Dr fone. Thanks again, must dash been here 12 hours and have extra hour to go then home, one of those days lol
