My battery consumption is a bit higher than it was on my Note 3's...but in all fairness, I had many more things disabled and more permissions removed on the Note 3's.
It has taken me more time to understand how to remove certain permissions on some apps on 4.4.4, using a different permissions app than on 4.4.2. I have more work to do, but IMO, I'll get to the same or better battery life as my Note 3's, once I've got a handle on which apps I can remove which permissions from.
It's a work in progress, but I go all day with a lot of use on phone, screen, SMS and data. I haven't yet found stock on the 2nd battery/ charger combo...but haven't yet found myself out of battery, or even close by day's end.
I get about 1.7-2% battery drain/ hour on average...and sometimes higher, but that's the short of it, according to GSAM.
I'm LTE disabled, running on 4G. That saves a pile of drain and for those of you who don't know, or just don't believe...just do some real life testing with LTE disabled and watch your battery life go up dramatically. Then ask yourself what prefer more...LTE or battery life.
