I'm hoping someone can assist me with this- my battery is draining pretty bad on standby. Its dropped about 20 percent in 2 hours. The phone has literally in my pocket with no use. Any suggestions?

Go to recovery then clear cache if that didn't help buy a new battery. I have a galaxy note which live for 5_6 hours

Which apps are using the battery?

Does the drain persist after a reboot? Most of the time, this kind of drain is due to a malfunctioning app, and a reboot resets that app to work correctly.

Also, if you haven't, enable ART over Dalvek. Art helps significantly with idle battery consumption.

I am running art currently. I just wiped the cache in recovery. Going to charge up and see if that helps. Thank-you all for the help. I'll post back in a bit with my results.

That's the camera bug, but other apps can sometimes do this too.

Great! Just keep your eyes peeled for any recurrence, and look for any patterns of usage that seem to be associated. But most of the time, it's random.

You should probably post in the forum for your device instead of the Nexus 5 forum. Also, in your post, please include more details that will let folks review what is going on, and hopefully help you. Try this before you go to sleep:
  1. Charge your phone to 100%
  2. Reboot your phone
Put your phone aside for the night, and review battery info in the morning. If issue persists,
    • take screen print of battery usage screen (settings/battery),
    • tap on the graph at the top (screen print),
    • back to battery usage screen, tap on the top 2-3 entries below the graph - screen print

I didnt posted on my device forum bcz my mobile is not so popular...so i think that nobody will reply...:)....i will these steps.Thank u

hey one more thing.i searched my device but there is not name listed of my mobile.I have LG Optimus LU6200.

I had the same problem clear the cache and in setting go to apps and make sure there are no app running. And also stop apps that you don't use from running in the back. Check the refresh time on all app change then to never helped me so much.
