battery draining-- not normal

Been rooted since August- no problems at all.

All of a sudden battery drains to 50% in 4 hours. Used to average 5% per hour. I have seen it drop close to 20% in one hour on a barebone phone.

1. It is not the battery as it happens with any battery I use.
2. It is not the Rom -- as I have switched roms and get same crappy results
3. It is not a program-- as I have left the phone barebones.
4. It is not the kernel as I have switched them--

I have same rom AVA 3 on wifes phone with SBC havs more kernel and hers sticks at 100% for a good while, and works like mine used to work-- great battery life.

Could it be that the phone is defective now?

SBC kernels are a calculated risk, it's possible the damage was permanent. Have you tried a brand new battery on a non-SBC kernel?

i have tried 3 batteries-- one brand new - and different kernal ( sprint lovers ROM and kernel) .

Same batteries with wife work fine.
