So the last few days I've had problems with WiFi disconnecting and reconnecting over and over and thought that was the cause of my battery draining tons faster then normal, used to last at least most if not all day with pretty constant use and now it's barely making it 5 hours without needing a charge. Att pushed the 4.4.4 update today and after turning the WiFi smart switch back off the WiFi problem seems to be better but my battery is still draining, just not quite as fast. Any suggestions? Thanks

Pull your battery while the phone is on- then put it back into the phone go into recovery & clear the cache - two birds - one stone ;).

Are you having issues with your Wi-Fi turning on and off too? I was and it was draining my battery like crazy. If you are:

Got it
under Settings --> Quick Settings --> Wi-Fi you will find a check box option named "Smart network switch", untick it, this should take care of the problem
it seems to be a new feature because it just happened recently (I am on Fido AB, Canada)
My battery used to drain quickly and it showed that "Android System" is the main power consumer
I also noticed this network registration on and off whenever I arrive on campus where they have a huge grid of WiFi.

Don't be confused by the old date, people are posting in Full Thread here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...msung-galaxy-s5-constantly-dropping-wifi.html
