Battery drains fast

My phone is at my desk most of the time (when I'm not working), and signal there is only one bar. If this is an issue, why start doing this now and not when I got the phone. It's been working just fine for almost a full month!

Could be the new modem file that was included as part of the update. On some phones, you can flash modems from previous firmwares using Odin to improve signal. You could try that method & see if it works on your GS7E.

Is it possible to downgrade an update from android? I googled a bit and it seems that many people have same issue since last update!

Did you already try the cache partition wipe? It doesn't erase any personal data.

Downgrading requires re-flashing the previous firmware using Odin: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html. I don't have direct experience with this, but I've read from others that this won't always work, depending on the carrier variant of the phone. It seems that Verizon tends to make this difficult (surprise surprise :-\ ).

Yea, Cache Wipe didn't do anything. I'm also reading factory reset doesn't help to a lot of people!

Battery life on my AT&T S7 Edge G935A keeps getting better at 23hrs no charge and SOT over 3hrs 👍👍at 53 % battery

Anyone want to take a stab at whats going on with mine?

I can almost never get over 4 hours SOT and I have to charge around twice a day.

App usage seems to be the culprit but I cannot figure out what it is

Verizon, Location set to high accuracy ( but according to GSAM it wasn't really used much at all).

Build number: MMB29M.G935VVRU2APB5
Configuration Version: F15.SAM.SMG935V.0
Kernel Version: 3.18.20

In a 18 hr period, your Held Awake time is unusually high. You should install wakelock detector lite & check out what's keeping your phone awake.

Just wanted you guys to know, I might have fixed my battery issue. I changed signal from 4G to 3G and now everything seems to be fine!

That might be a fix but it's a serious trade off that shouldn't be necessary for a top of the range phone. Unless you never have 4g, I wouldn't take that trade off!

I honestly can't see what's wrong with the battery usage. You're getting more than a day. Lol. I get like 16-18hrs on heavy usage, and I'm happy. Lol. Of course I did come from 10-12hrs usage on my old Note.

Did S5 use 4G? I've never had problems with it?

Mine is completely awful since the last update too. Used to be absolutely brilliant, there were days I could have hit 9 hours screen time and 6 easily no matter what the situation. Now it struggles to get 4 hours and I've a huge Android System drain that had previously never got out of single digits.

I have the same massive Android System drain. Is there a work around for it anywhere? I can't seem to find one that works

I haven't seen any fixes yet, just that loads of people are having the same issue. My latest stats (I just posted in the main battery thread) show how bad it's got with the phone kept awake for over 9 hours.
