Battery Drains like Hell

hey there guys i m new to an android tablet...used to be an apple fan but this time decided to go for nexus 7 2nd generation...but i m really disappointed with its battery life...for every 3 mins i lose 1% that makes it 20% drainage in 1 hour...i hv set brightness to minimum and turned auto feature off...also unchecked auto sync data option but still no improvement...any guidelines wud be welcomed...btw this is during surfing

You need to figure out what is using so much battery. Swipe down the status bar, tap on the battery icon, and post a screen shot. You take a screen shot by holding down the power and volume-down buttons simultaneously.

after almost 12 hours of use I have 54% battery left....and I used the device pretty heavily today, even streamed pandora for 2 hours while I went into work.....

I get excellent battery life....the only thing that will drain it semi fast are graphic intense games like asphalt 7 and such...I've got no complaints on the battery so far...

Its been on standby for around 22 hours

During the last one hour it lost 4℅ while being in sleep mode with airplane mode switched on...surfing results in a decrease of 1℅ every 3 minutes
