Are you connected to anything like a smart watch? I just got a Garmin Vivoactive 4, and the app recommended turning on the power saving exclusion for it so it can stay updated with the watch. That tanked my battery life, even though the app wasn't anywhere near the top of the battery stats list (Android actually sucks when it comes to figuring out what is draining the battery, in my opinion). I removed the exclusion and battery life is back to normal, and the app still runs fine.
Even if you don't have something like that connected I would still double check that you don't inadvertently have something excluded that could be draining the battery.
Nope, no connections.
The only kinda new setting I started using over the last week or so, mainly out of curiosity, and I'm going to turn off today to see if it makes a difference, is WiFi calling.
Having only ever had unlocked phones, this feature was never available, and I wanted to check it oit.
My friend is on Tmobile, uses WiFi calling, and it blows chunks, he's forever dropping calls... just horrible. He's out in the country where he has jack all for signal, so he has to use it.
I figured that I'd try it to see how it works for me.
No complaints at all from people with whom I speak... though I also never had service provider calling issues either.
We'll see if that helps at all.
Frankly I use my phone A LOT and now that I realized how to see SOT, I'll see over the next few days how it goes.
As I mentioned above, it may be nothing more than having analyzed my usage, which is a lot, that may be why the drop in how long a charge lasts, and no harm, no foul.
