I charged my phone all night , got up this morning un plugged and recharged. When I left my house (3G area) I was at 99% . So on my way into work I put on he Bluetooth option.

20 minutes later at work my battery is down to 85%. Now as soon as I get about 3 minutes from my house in in a LTE area.

My brightness is at 25%, and minimal apps. Sync on Facebook and Weather others is ever 6 hours. I can't figure out how to adjust gmail sync. So I have no idea how many times its using gmail.

When I'm in my house on 3g, the phone lasts a long time.
How does LTE effect the battery when your not using it ? It seems when I have just lying around it drains fast.

Any help is appreciated.

i shut it off and am seeing much better results .. although i also shut off alot of other things so im not positive. but i do believe shutting off the 4g will help.. im slowly adding widgets and apps to see how the battery will respond.

the gmail is a push i believe so its constantly refreshing.

Yes Gmail is push.

I am in a 4G zone and i have tried to go with wireless off and 4G on, and have not noticed excessive battery drain. I have been getting double digit life daily. Maybe the transition from 3g to 4g puts you in a marginal area long enough to drain things? i would turn it back on and see what happens now that you have tuned a lot of other stuff.

Thanks to everyone that replied.

Ok so I noticed that phone felt warm so something was running. Battery was at 37 degrees. I tried to find it in manage apps but nothing stood out.

Interestingly in settings > wireless &networks > mobile networks it read Connection Failed, but when I tried the internet it connected fine. Could this be related to starting out in a 3g area and going into a LTE area?

So now I removed Word with Friends since it never opens and Twitter since I rarely use it now this phone came out.

Just powered down, pulled battery, and let cool. I'm gonna charge and see what happens.
I'm really thinking something is up when changing from LTE to 3g.

Have you looked at the thread titled juice defender and blockbuster?

Not really. I looked at Sticky threads by Cory. They actually recommend not using those kinds of apps since they are running and shutting things down constantly that drains it too.

Also look at that thread I mentioned. We got quite off track but it's all very relevant info to you.
