battery indicator wont turn off

i was using my phone as a disk drive after i was done, i unplugged it the indicator stays on, also the battery icon thinks it charging.. i hard reset device, updated to 2.3, swapped battery still doesnt turn off... i tryed powering up my device without my mem card still on, i used my charger it charges fine i take it off and still on.....anyone has this issue and will this issue cause any problems with my phone..
