battery issue

i have a D2G and love it except for battery life. a friend gave me a battery with the same number BP6X and when i put it in the phone to charge it , the battery has a ? in it and i get a pop up that says that the battery is invalid and should be replaced. why is it doing this?

This is solved. The battery was junk
