Battery issue

I'm looking for help with my battery the android os is hitting high 50% drain is this normal and if anyone can suggest anything to help

How long is your battery lasting, and how much do you use your phone?

The problem with that meter is that it's actually relative to all components that run on the phone. On mine, I show

30% Android OS
17% Wifi
15% Display
12% Dolphin Browser
12% Phone Idle
10% Cell Standby
etc...

The OS is going to consume SOME measure of your battery power just doing the things that the OS does. If you're not doing a lot with your browser, then other components will consume a higher percentage of the battery (including the OS).

The top three go as follow

Android os 48%
Phone idle 9%
Standby 7%

I'm guessing that you're not really a heavy user of your phone, otherwise the percentages would be different.

Just remember that it's relative to the total amount of battery power used, not the amount of the battery that you will use (i.e., of the power used 50% has been used by the OS, which is NOT the same as saying that your OS is going to eat half your battery power in a heartbeat).
