Battery issue

What do you think caused the battery issue? I'm assuming you didn't have the phone for too long before you reset to factory condition. What did you do differently this time around to get much better battery performance? Also, do you have location reporting and location history on (for google account settings)?

That's the thing that I haven't been able to nail down.

I had the phone for two full days and "Android OS" was consistently taking in excess of 60% of the battery power.

I wiped the phone and installed a fresh factory image and that changed everything.

The only things that are different this time around were stock recovery instead of TWRP and I didn't root.

Both location reporting and location history have been enabled and still are.
