Battery lasts alot longer doing this!

This is easy enough to try while at work...I'm all for saving $50-$60 if all it means is ten minutes partially paying attention to the procedure....which I just performed and well definitely post back w/ anything new noticed.

You can get a htc hero battery as cheap as $10 on amazon and I got my external charger for $12. Definitely not $50-60

Plus it's not just 10 minutes...I would guess that you'd have to do the procedure every time due to the previously mentioned limitations of the firmware. I'd prefer not to spend 10 minutes daily that could be better spent reading these forums.

I got a deal on 3 batteries for like $20 on amazon (or ebay). They seem to have similar voltage and capacity ratings that the OEM battery has even if they aren't OEM. Besides, those plus my Seido wall charger means I always have charged batteries at the ready.
