Battery Life discussion thread.

I'm getting around 6hrs SOT so far and thats with limiting my usage. Not complaining just sharing my findings so far. I have put quite a few apps to sleep and removed some bloat.

Took it off the charger around 6:15a and it's now 9:45p and have 20% remaining. Running default screen settings with power mode set to optimized.

I'm very impressed with this device. 6 hr on screen time so far and 21% left. I did turn off 120hz. I would have never made this with it on.

Im finally getting 20hrs and over 10 SOT at 8%
So my average is a day between 8 to 10 SOT Screenshot_20200830-203430_Device%20care~2.jpg

My battery has Definitely gotten much better! Better than my Note 10+ now. I probably won't get 10 hours screen time because I have my Galaxy Watch plus a lot of apps like Smart Things running but I'm satisfied!

What also helped me was wiping the system partition cache

Just watched YT video where guy compares 60 and 120Hz battery drain. When 120hz die 60hz still has 30% battery and thats alot, u can get like 1-2 more SOT.

I have also question. Do u guys use adaptive powe saving mode, dose it make any difference?

I use adaptive power saving mode and it helps me

Definitely outstanding battery life, went out camping for over a day in the mountains. And to think network was a little bad there and got close to 9hrs SOT, with 120hz which is the only thing I like, usually i been getting in my town where excellent network is strong i been getting there close to 11hrs SOT, so Definitely don't need a power brick, even thought i took one with me and didn't have to charge at all. Just made it home, time to charge the phone.

How are you doing this? Mine isn't terrible, but no where near this good. Always looking for ways to improve.

Today I've hardly done anything on my phone and its lost 25% only app running is Edge Screen which I can't put to sleep, background usage nearly 15 hours.

I have to admit that I have battery packs but don't use them much under regular usage - but they are great when I am out using the camera all day, or where I will not have access to power for the day. I think that's what they are mostly for, right? I don't think you would carry a battery pack with you regularly (unless you have the space, I guess.)

That said, Amazon was selling the Samsung 25 watt plus fast wireless battery pack for $50 over the weekend when it's usually $70. I picked one up and I quite like it. I never had a super fast charge battery pack and the wireless function allows me to charge my watch, too. You can just leave it plugged and on your desktop and use the wireless charging. When you need it, you can just take it off and it'll be fully charged. It's quite versatile and I hadn't seen anything similar to it on the market yet.

What background usage of Edge Screen are you guys getting?
My usage is 2.1% but background is 15 h 37 m. I have only had 1 hour 20m screen on today and only 68% battery left lol
