So, I'm directing this question to anyone in this thread that has a real technical understanding of the android system. From the name of the file, batterystats.bin sounds as though it fixes more of a reporting issue on the charge life than the actual charge life itself. It doesn't sound like this would actually cause the battery to drain slower, or cause the battery to accept more of a charge while plugged in. The result might make it appear to someone looking at the phone that the battery life has improved when it's really just not dropping battery bars as quickly but the battery itself might last the same amount of time.
Does anyone with a real understanding of what BatteryStats.bin does have any input?
