I don't have the device myself, but almost every device I have had with a Li-ion battery has improved after a few charge cycles.

Good to know it can do this even if I'll likely never do the same on mine. I simply have no desire to deep cycle the battery on it nor do I have the need to. Perhaps this weekend if the hurricane headed our way leaves us with a power outage I'll be forced to find out though lol.

I don't know if a deep cycle is needed but my current Samsung Galaxy S3 phone battery (ZeroLemon 7000mAh) specifically said to deep cycle the battery from 2% to fully charged for the first 5 charge cycles. I did that and have had great battery life (2 full days on a single charge with heavy use, 12 to 14 hours of screen time for both days combined).

I read comments from others that did not do this with their ZeroLemon battery when they first got it and they had issues with it not lasting as long.

I deep cycle my phone's battery every month or so and it seems to do better when it starts to last only one day. That gets it back to two full days.

So, I thought I'd do the same with my new tablet.

The internet is full of contradictions. There are tons of articles saying to keep lithium ion batteries topped off and avoid deep cycles but I'm sure there are many that recommend periodic deep cycles too.
