battery life is terrible

I don't really use my galaxy s4 that much during the day. Today I unplugged it from the charger at 5AM. It says screen on time is 30 minutes and now at 3 PM I'm at 45%. I do have a lot of apps but they don't appear on battery usage stats. Someone please help!

Or just search for "wakelock detector" in the play store.

I just downloaded and installed Wakelock Detector on the Play store. Opened it and I get the message "Access Permission was changed in KitKat, Now Advanced statistics need ROOT access "
