I'm not getting anywhere near that amount of battery life, but I'm also a fairly heavy user. I will say it's the best I've had from any phone, though. On prior phones I would charge 4-5 times a day easy (and sometimes more), keeping in roughly the 35-80% range. Now I charge about twice a day, keeping to that same range.

This is phenomenal! How did you do that?!

I have no idea. The only thing I've done, is restrict all social media apps from using battery in the background. And to be fair, I didn't have the dual screen attached at all on this day. I finished the charge with 10.5hrs SOT on a little over 24hrs off the charger

Wow.. that many times a day on and off the charger is probably just as bad for the battery as charging to 100% running it down to 10%

Nope, Li-ion batteries like a happy medium. Keeping it within that range helps to limit the amount of degradation that happens from both extremely low (under about 25%) and extremely high (over about 80%) charge levels. I use to not care, but since manufacturers are dumb by sealing up the batteries, I'm doing what I can to prolong its life.

It's the best battery life that I have ever had on a cellphone, I go all day on a full charge and I use it it's not just hanging out inside of my pocket. I do keep the dual-screen case on at all times. I tend to use the extra screen for all my messages while I work on the main screen.

Those seem like great ways to maximize your battery life!

This phone has awesome battery life. 21.5 hours total, 5.5 SOT and 21% left.

Was this you first LG phone? I have been on Note phones for years and thinking of switching since LG has pen support...

This is my second LG phone and switched from Samsung. I've had several Samsung phones and will never go back. LG is far superior..

Thanks. I am just up in the air about which one to get. LG v60 or Velvet. Love the specs on the v60 but not crazy about the dual case on it. Love the design on the velvet case better.

Unless you have a specific need or use for the dual screen case, there's a good chance you'll put the phone in a standard case and go about your day anyway. I thought I'd like it and tried to give it an honest chance for about two weeks, but just wasn't feeling it. It now sits in a drawer and my phone is in a regular case.

Mooncat: Thanks for the info, I do have a specific need. I love writing notes down while reading and studying. Plan on opening book on right screen while writing notes on left screen (I am left handed) Tried using split screen on my note phones but when doing that both the books and the notes section was just too small. I have done this for years on my iPad pro but need a smaller version. Once I found out that LG v60 and velvet had pen support the option to go with LG became an option for me.

He's not a very credible source when it comes to the V60 as he flip flops alot IMO. There are many use cases for the dual screen on the V60... some of my uses are

-web browsing in one screen and Snapchat and other messaging on the other

-video call and other apps on the other screen

-app coupons on the extended screen and a music app on the other (when in drive thru)

- use as a stabilizer when recording 4K video

And more.

The V60 is a better buy over the velvet as it has a quad DAC whereas the velvet doesn't. Once you hear the Quad DAC you won't be able to accept anything less. For me, it resulted in me buying a surround sound receiver with a DAC that has the same specs as the Quad DAC.

On whether or not the V60 is the phone to get, you seem to have this love hate relationship with it and have issues that the rest of us don't seem to have.
I believe Mooncat's advice on the dual screen was spot on.
