Battery life not great

I'm running the Q beta on a Pixel 3a XL and I notice that battery life is not very good at all: for example, this morning my wife took the 3a XL off the charger, at 100%, at 6 am and ended up leaving it on the table, doing nothing. By noon, it was down to 52%. That's obviously kind of terrible but I chalk it up to using beta software.

Oh, if you like. I assume it's a Q beta issue. As for the phone, I think it's pretty great.

You might report this to the Android Q beta team, make sure they are aware of the issue.

Exactly! Furthermore so though, I will say that ever since I've been on Q beta platform, my 3 XL has gotten excellent battery life. I'd suggest trying to wipe the phone once or opt out of the beta and rejoin possibly.

I opted out and the battery life is fine. Of course, it could be the wipe that did it. I think I will wait and see before trying it again.

Honestly, if you already opted out of the beta, I would try once more to re-enroll and see if that was it. Honestly, my Android Q beta has always had incredible battery life.

The idle time has been great for me on DP 4my Pixel 2.

Battery life on my pixel 2 is the best it has ever been. I think Q is very battery friendly, no complaints from me.

Battery life on my Pixel 3XL has gone through the roof it's lasting three days on one charge loving Android Q so far

Surprisingly good battery life!

Been running the Q beta since Beta 1 and I will say that it has gotten better with each iteration. Can easily go about 11 hours in between charges. I don't care what Google says, I feel like Digital Wellbeing is a battery life assassin! Since I've turned it off I've been able to squeeze out more screen time.

interesting, I mean I never thought of digit will be as a bad or a life assassin! I think I still have accessibility for that turns off though. Android Q is amazing on bad or I'm getting 11 12 hours per charge. However, since Android Auto in the car I charge off via USB all the time. I use about 40 to 45% of my battery and reading day.

Same! I have the Pixel 2 xl and it has been better then ever! Used to last the day fine with like 20% at the end of the day but now it lasts till about 40% at the end of the day!

Anyone running it on a pixel 3 and have a gear S3? Everytime I've tried it drains my watch battery in a couple hours (literally full to empty in like 2-3 hours).

Is this still a problem?

I'm running the beta on my 2xl and so far I have to say I'm getting pretty battery life, it last me all day and that running Bluetooth to my watch and earbud listening podcast and music, and playing games while on my breaks through out my day. And when I'm off work I'm looking at YouTube until 10 to 11 pm with about 20 to 30 percent before going to bed

Battery life on my Pixel 2 XL has been excellent since being on Q and beta 4 it has been even better. Much better battery life than on Pie.

On Android VIP or as you would call it Pie my battery usage would read 1day and 10-12 hrs before empty. Now on Q beta, I've been getting reading that says 23hrs and at the very most 1day and 2 hrs. So for me, the battery life is sucking it up. Hopefully, this will get better. Meanwhile, I'll be awaiting the Beast phone...Pixel 4XL.

Running Q beta 6. Battery life about the same as Pie.

Using a Pixel 3 with around 3-4 hours SoT (can reach 5 hours when using WiFi). Admittedly very heavy user here (games, music via Bluetooth, browsing social media).
