I just did some testing on my tab for video and music playback.

For both I had on airplane mode (when I am going to be watching movies etc I probably won't care about data connection esp since I have a cellphone to take care of communication)

Video - Played for 146 straight minutes and the battery went from 97% to 71%
Projected play time is 9.36 hours - amazing to me

In case you care I was playing Up in the Air that I ripped and loaded onto the tab. Video playback was great; the movie took up the whole screen.

Music I played with the screen turned off airplane mode on. I played for exactly one hour and the batter life went from 70% to 68%...projected to play music for 50 hours.

Take it as it is, I just wanted to give you my results...so far they seem very good.

3 things.

1. Thanks for the report.
2. You are not helping ease my desire to own one. :)
3. Great movie... whacky ending.

I haven't done any official time testing, but so far, the battery life on the Tab has been exceptional. It sounds like I'm not the only one seeing that. :)

brightness on the movie was set to automatic and was sitting on my desk. I could see the movie the entire time without problems and it definitely distracted me from time to time

I agree that the battery life is really good. I was in a meeting yesterday and played on my Tab for about 4 hours on and off and it was fully charge to begin with and ended with 78%. Please don't tell my boss ;-)

I've been running video on my Tab today, it's on the 3rd showing of The Incredibles and still have 31% battery life remaining. I expect to probably end up somewhere close to 6 full hours of video, with wifi on and the brightness on full. I also turned up the volume and put some headphones in to make sure that it was using up battery life that way too.

So how do we get that 4000mah battery in my Evo now? :D

Edit: Nevermind, would be pointless given it's not 7". :P
