Battery Life Thread

It's 4.11pm and I've had it off-charger since about 9.30am (and I juiced it up to 95% rather than 100%).

I'm now on 73%.

Pixel 2.

This is my longest battery life to date in my Pixel 2 XL. It was about 65% wifi. But still not bad.

I wish my pixel would hurry up and get here so I can complain about battery life...LOL

UPDATE: Yesterday my battery seemed a little better as I had 4 SOT by bedtime with 20% left over which was a noticeably decent improvement over what I had been getting since the 8.1 update. Right now I'm seeing 3hr SOT and battery is at 50%. A huge turnaround for my P2. I should easily be able to get 5hr SOT with some left over. I'll be in bed for the night before I hit that, this is great! I've probably run Gservicefix about a dozen times in the past week or two. Maybe it finally took or it's something else. Hoping this is not a fluke.

Mine is not shocking since 8.1. It could be better though and is slightly worse for standby battery than the v30

My Pixel 2 was getting bad enough after 8.1 that I was threatening a factory data reset. My phone must have heard me..... Battery straightened out last week and has been fine. Standby has been better and not noticing near the drain while in use. Not sure what happened but it has definitely improved.

I did the FR and had no change so you may have dodged a bullet there. In any case I'm on track to have great battery life for the second day in a row. Really good to see it coming around as it should be.

I've turned off the "Ok Google" function as a test, and I'm actually getting amazing battery now! I never found it a real problem before, but today it's definitely been better IMO.

For some reason it won't let me add an attachment but I'm currently on 40% battery with 4hr26 mins SOT and 18hr 16min since last charge.

Usage includes streaming Spotify, watching YouTube videos, Tapatalk viewing, Facebook, Instagram, Tune In Radio listening on Bluetooth speaker, texting throughout the day, 1 quick phone call and all mostly on data during the day and on wi-fi once home in the evening.

Pretty heavy use today in my battery sucking office. Let's see how tomorrow goes.

Lots of YouTube and bad signal, still not too bad.

Funny I can not post a screen shot or photos from my pixel, but can from the computer and my Note 8... and Tablet...

Turning off "OK Google" doesn't actually turn off "OK google". When I turn mine off I can still say "Ok Google" and it'll launch. How exactly did you turn it off? Are you using Nova launcher?

Here's a couple of times from the 64gb model. Haven't checked with the 128 cause I figure it's gonna be the same.

Wow. What am I doing wrong? I've lost 8% from full charge in the last 60 minutes. That is only 19 minutes screen on time, 8 minutes of Snapchat, and a tiny bit of reading & sms. Mine is horrid and I can't figure out why. Brightness is approximately 20%. Normal Pixel, but even if yours is the XL, I'd be happy with a good chunk less battery performance than you're getting.

With HIgh Accuracy location on, BT on and on Wifi with a bunch of accounts syncing and lots of notifications, I lose about 8-11% per hour of screen on time per hour while browsing news and social media apps, and generally messing about with the phone like setting icon packs and live wallpapers. It's once you go out and about and start using navigation that it all changes that number.

Pretty darn good only phone ive had to match this was an S7E granted i do have most stuff turned off and lower brightness but i dont use all those features except a few including location services

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. Remember situation/usage will dictate how much battery you have at the end of the day. Each person will have different results.

No launcher, all stock.

From the home screen swipe left onto the Google page.

In the top left corner of the page, touch the Menu icon.

Tap Settings > Voice > "OK Google“ Detection.

From here, you can choose when you want your phone to listen when you say "Ok Google."

8% in 60 minutes isn't bad, you used Snapchat and it's a battery hog. You have the og pixel, maybe your battery is bad. What's your SOT?
