Battery life

GW5 Pro LTE here.... Last two days was at about 40% at bedtime after 17 hours use with some autodetect workouts. So far running great! I expect it will get a little better as I had an update yesterday AM and am still playing quite a bit extra.

I have EVERYTHING on including LTE.

Am I the only one that is in the One UI 5.0 beta and battery sucks. W5 Pro and have yet to get 24 hrs on a full charge. If anyone else is in the beta and getting decent battery life, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll have to scrap the beta.

I'm in the beta on my S22U unlocked and on T-Mobile. I'm not having any battery issues at all. From 7 am until 10pm and I'm at about 80 percent left on watch 5 pro using heart rate monitor set for every 10 minutes, stress level constant and receiving notices on watch.

One more thing, I did NOT use a backup from my watch 4 classic to setup the 5 pro. I did a full install from scratch to avoid any problems.

I'm unlocked on T-Mobile S22 5G, in the beta and my battery goes along great for about 15 hrs, then plummets and never goes past 24. I can't see any obvious culprit, so I'm blaming the beta.

Well I went ahead and reset my W5 Pro LTE. Set up EVERYTHING from scratch while on the charger. Didn't restore from back. Let Play Store update all needed apps and installed all apps from my phone. I did turn off the phone for at least 10 mins prior to pairing the W5Pro. And when all was done, then I took if off the charger @ 100%. It's again learning my usage. After 10hrs, 28m I still have 77% battery available. Finally! I hope it doesn't go wanky like before. But it looks promising. I am still on the One U1 5.0 beta as well. Hopefully this may help someone else.

I received my watch 5pro on Tuesday and charged it overnight. I took it off the charger on Wednesday morning at 6am and got down to 1% battery life on Sunday morning at 2:28am. I have the watch set to have the face on through arm raising gesture. I allowed the watch to copy my settings from my watch 3. I never put it in low power mode except I said clock only was fine at the 1% mark. I placed it on the wireless dual charging pad that I got with the purchase and it said it would take about 2 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge.

So far, I'm very impressed with the battery life. I felt I used the watch relatively extensively as I was adding and adjusting faces. I feel the watch performs better than my watch 3. I don't really miss the rotating bezel as much as I thought I would.

The only con I have found so far is that it seems harder than it should be to browse watch faces on the Play Store than it was through the Galaxy Store for my Watch 3. I haven't found yet a section where I can just find like digital watch faces and have it show me hundreds of watch faces. Most of the sections of the Wear OS section have only a limited number of faces and the is no option to see more. If I search digital watch face, that ends up bringing more results, but so far the Samsung Galaxy Store seemed like it was setup better to browse watch faces.

Sorry for posting other stuff besides battery life.

It's interesting, but not surprising, that the duo charging pad they're gibing away in the US doesn't fast charge the watch.

I kind of thought 2 hours and 20 minutes would be pretty decent for the 5 Pro coming from basically dead. I'll have to see how fast the bundled watch charger is next time. I did have it plugged into a power brick that should have been providing 25-30W.

I woke up at noon and from charging around 9 or 10 am yesterday morning I had 37% battery normally it would be almost dead and a few times it would die when I got home from work around midnight. But I still will have to charge it in the mornings before work to get it to last all day which I am still ok with. For me going from the 40mm 4 to the 5 no difference I only did it cause I got it for 85 bucks.

Not too bad. 5pro w LTE

Beta on the watch.... or phone?

I just read this article that it takes longer than advertised to charge the watch 5 & W5 pro. I just charged mine from 15% to 100 in 52 min. Needless to say, I was very pleased. I used the little charging puck that came with the watch and a 25w Samsung brick. What has everyone's experience been with charging?

I have not really looked at charging speed as I mostly just charge it overnight.

I am the same I charge overnight so speed is worthless to me and I am not sleep tracking.

I don't know what Sammobile is doing wrong (maybe an old charger?), but as I've posted previously, I'm getting the speeds promised with the included charging puck and it only takes over 2 hours with an older charger.

I'm currently at 2d 16h with 20% left, so it's charging time this evening. I'll see how much it charges in 30 minutes... but honestly I'm happy with the battery life and charging speed of this watch. And if anyone is familiar with my posts on here, you'll probably know that is no small feat! lol

I am using the 25W brick and I woke up on 55% today usually I am on 10% or so on my watch 4 but had an animated thing on there but I had it on the charger for 30 to 40 minutes and figured it would of already been done since it was on 55% but it was on like 93. I'll time it again tomorrow

Yeah I do the same as my watch 4 when I wake up and drink my coffee and before I get ready for work it's on the charger as soon as I wake up.

OK, after 2d 22h my watch 5 pro was at 9%. I put it on charge and after 30 minutes it was at 60% with an hour left until full.

I don't know about anyone else, but to me that seems stellar.
