Battery life

Anyone seeing significant changes in battery life the past few days? Mine has been horrible all of a sudden, and the top culprits are all Google or Android related. My wife is seeing the same on her Pixel and my son as well on his 6P.

I just installed the July update which I'm hoping takes care of this...

Mines done that a couple times. all of a sudden play services keeps it awake. a reboot fixes it.

yes, what's going on. mine has been tearing through the battery ever since my July patch update. I swear these updates seem to always create havoc

The June update appears to have sporadically helped, but Google services are still killing my battery. As I'm writing this, I'm seven hours off the charger and my battery is down to 57%. Of the 43% of battery that has been used, Google related services have contributed to 20% of the lost 43% (or 47% of battery use):

Android system - 10%
Android OS - 4%
Android Core Apps - 3%
Google Play Services - 3%

I wish I could go back to the March security update. I've loved my Pixel but can't wait to get rid of it now, battery has been rough since the April update and keeps getting worse.

I just got the pixel and am at about 50%after about 7 hours. Are you guys saying that it used to be better? I'm underwhelmed so far with the battery. Of course I am coming from an HTC 10 that barely made it 8 hours.

Damm, hope that doesn't get me. Battery life on this Pixel has been fantastic compared to my Note3.

So far today my phone has been on for 6 hrs. Screen on time just 1 hr 11 minutes tho,, so far. 80 % battery left. I'm also on the July security update

Just means the NSA is keeping your microphone and camera turned on.
