I work outside also. your experience is about the same as mine. sometimes I get 15-17 hours usage with only an hour SOT. and my phone's about dead. I wonder if heat does have an impact. that's a good question

Interesting. I think much of it has to do with connecting to (even just syncing to) LTE, which is a battery hog. I work at home, connected to wifi all day, and easily get 24hrs between charges and about 5hrs SOT.

Also, if your SOT is in full sun, the screen is going to be extremely bright compared to indoor SOT and thus drain the battery much faster.

I keep my brightness at 100 lol but still 2-3 hours of SOT is kinda low

My g6 doesn't get the best Sot because sprints signal where I am is weak and I always keep my brightness up. But when I'm outside in the heat my battery does get hot and drain

just a quick update, I am off work today, so I'm inside most of the day to relax. I turned my brightness to auto, and now I'm over 7 hours of usage with 5 hours of SOT

It's gotta be the brightness. It's not really a deal breaker anyways because I'm not constantly on my phone. It was mainly a curiosity.
