Battery or software failure?

Hey there,

I bought a thl 4000 phone that has a 4000 mAh battery. Everything is fine until the icon shows 50% (around day 3-4). Then it stops countering and show the same 50% for few days. Not even 1 percent drops meanwhile. Then, on the 6-7th day, suddenly it starts dropping percentage very fast, from 50% to 0%. All that happens in about 3 minutes then the phone turns off.

Is there anyone around who encountered the same problem with thl 4000?

Is that a display / software related issue or maybe it's the battery itself?

Welcome to the forums. I am tempted to say it's a bug in the battery reporting. As far as I know, there is nothing that can be done about this until the OEM releases an update for it.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm kinda new in the mobile computing, how or where can I check / monitor if there is an update release for it?

Maybe the OEM website. There should be a way to contact them, and you can at least let them know about the bug.
