Battery problem?

Alright, I JUST put my phone on the charger, it was at 5%. 10 minutes later it's at 70?!?! I pulled it off, and now its at 50 within 5 minutes of not even using it. Whats going on? It did drop for 40-20 pretty fast, didnt even see 30.

How old is your battery?
Are you rooted?
What are the usual battery savings settings you are using? (screen brightness/timeout, widgets, feed updating)

Your battery is probably junk, if you buy a replacement it will probably be fine again.

I could have swore i replied to this lol I am Rooted, the battery was bought in February from amazon. I do rather have frequent refreshes, but it didnt start doing this untill recent.

My suggestion is to reset your battery statistics. You can either get the app from the market or do it manually.

To do it manually (in ClockworkMod Recovery):
1. Charge your phone all the way up (overnight is best to make sure it is fully charged)
2. Select Advanced menu option
3. Wipe Battery Stats
4. Yes
5. Unplug and drain battery until your phone dies

Done that a few nights ago, still the same deal. I already ordered a new battery off amazon.
