Battery started draining

[AC Question]

In the last 3 days, my battery on my first gen Moto X took a terrible dive in battery life. The main problem is cell standby mobile radio active. It usually takes over 60%. It never did this before. It used to go 24hrs, now it's about 8. Why did this just start and how do I fix it? Someone said turn on airplane mode but then it's just a paper wait.

I don't think the battery is fading since it started all at once and something has caused that cell standby mobile radio to sky rocket.
