I'm getting good battery performance but am a little concerned that "android system" usage appears to be unusually high, despite great deep sleep numbers. Anybody else?

Could some other Mini owner please post a screenshot so I can see if it's normal to have high "android system" in battery stats? Thanks!

On my Mini it is 15% but on my 2012 N7 it is 53%

I'm having the same issue on my Mini since I got it last week. I had removed my corporate email account for today to test and it was only a slight decrese. Today was 25% for android os and 15% for android system. I'm going to disable 'touchless control' for tomorrow and see if that has any change.

For what it's worth all of the new droids and the Moto X seem to have the same problem. People still seem yo get decent battery life, but I think it could be even better but for this android OS/android system issue.

I wonder if the active notifications has something to do with this. Because it has to be monitoring for stuff even while it is idle

I had the same thought so I disabled active notifications on my X. It did not seem to improve anything. Haven't tried it on the Mini yet.

I disabled the location access (GPS) and now the screen is the highest use.

Ummm I think that you need to go back and look at your screen shots. Second highest yes but thats normal. Percentage wise yes, you have issues. Do a factory reset.
Thanks. Your android OS is still the second highest behind screen, like many people have commented.
