Battery stats says GPS on, but location settings it's actually turned OFF!

Not sure what happened to my thread, but here it is again. For some reason, like the subject line says, battery stats says the GPS is on, however, under location settings I verified it is OFF since I have battery saver mode selected. Thoughts and help appreciated. I'm guessing GPS on all the time is contributing to my poor battery life.

Not sure but it's possible that gps on is a misnomer for location services on.
