Battery Status: Overheat

I was watching Netflix over LTE while charging on my Seidio dock. I noticed that the notification light was blinking. I didnt think anything of it. After I stopped watching and I undocked to go home and noticed the phone was very warm. So I opened the Battery Widget and it stated Overheat as the status and the temp was around 50C.

Anyone experience this before. Seems that LTE and charging is no no.

Happened to me while I had mine plugged in and using GPS.

A few factors that affect it are

Charging
Using 4g constantly (as you were watching netflix)
Gps

And when you are doing muliple at the same time, especially charging your phone, it will heat up quicker.

Just something that happens.

Yeah I just have never had a phone get that hot before. Guess I will unplug it while watching Netflix and charge it on the drive home.

Yes. And, you'll probably find that it uses less battery than you expected due to less heat. Heat kills batteries.

Happens to me a lot. Mostly Cus I am constantly on my tbolt or Cus I live in a city where we broke heat records for 100 days.
